Fitzroy MacClean traveled through the Caucuses and into Central Asia in 1937-1939. His classic book, Eastern Approaches, is the inspiration for the name of this blog as my Dad and I follow in his footsteps.

    Added the book to my wish list though I'm still boycotting Amazon until Stephen Colbert tells me it's OK to buy from them again.
